SMS Marketing Agency for Ecommerce Brands

Hey Frankie is an SMS marketing agency for ecommerce brands that want texts and email run as one program on Klaviyo. We handle list growth, compliance, flows, campaigns and the judgment about what deserves a text and what does not. The same team runs your email, so the two channels share one calendar and one set of segments instead of competing for the same customer.

What we actually do

SMS is the channel brands most often get wrong in both directions: too timid to use it, or so aggressive the list opts out in a month. The fix is the same either way. Treat a phone number as something a customer lent you.

List growth that holds up

Two-step pop-ups, checkout opt-in, keyword sign-ups and post-purchase capture, tuned so the people who join are people who buy. A big list of discount hunters is not an asset.

Compliance handled

TCPA and carrier rules (the US laws and phone-carrier policies that decide whether your texts are legal and deliverable) built into the capture, the consent language and the quiet hours. Boring until a lawsuit, so we do not skip it.

Flows that earn the channel

Welcome, abandoned cart and checkout, shipping and delivery, post-purchase, win-back and replenishment, each timed against the email version so a customer never gets both in the same hour.

Campaigns with a reason to exist

Launches, restocks, early access, last-call. A text costs attention; we only send when the message is worth the interruption. Fewer sends, higher revenue per send.

Segmentation shared with email

VIPs, lapsed buyers, product affinity and discount sensitivity live in one place. The text and the email a customer receives come from the same read of who they are.

Two-way conversations where they pay

Replies, support hand-offs and concierge-style sends for high-AOV products, set up so a reply reaches a person, not a dead end.

Measurement that counts the right revenue

Attribution windows, email-and-SMS overlap and opt-out cost reported together, so SMS is judged on what it adds, not on what it claims.

What working with us looks like

The strategist who owns your email program owns SMS too. The first month is an audit of consent, list quality, flows and send cadence, followed by the rebuild of whatever is costing you subscribers or sales. After that, a weekly rhythm of sends, tests and a read on revenue per send and opt-out rate you can act on, with a direct line when something moves. No interns, no account managers in between.

Who this is for

  • Ecommerce brands that want email and SMS run end to end by one team.
  • Brands with a list and no SMS program, or an SMS program that is burning the list.
  • Brands on Klaviyo, or willing to consolidate onto it.
  • Owners and marketing leads who want to talk to the person doing the work.

Who it is not for

  • Brands under $1M a year. Build the email list first.
  • Brands that want SMS without email; the channel works as a pair, and we only run it that way.
  • Agencies and freelancers looking for white-label sending.

How we price it

SMS is scoped inside the email retainer when both run with us, not sold as a separate program. We give you the number on the first call.

Questions we get asked

How much does an SMS marketing agency cost?

Across the market, standalone SMS management runs roughly $1,500 to $5,000 a month, plus the carrier and platform fees per message. Most of that cost is wasted when SMS is run separately from email, because the two teams send to the same customer with no shared plan. We scope SMS inside the email program for that reason.

Klaviyo SMS or Attentive or Postscript?

For brands already on Klaviyo email, Klaviyo SMS, because one platform means one customer profile, one set of segments and one bill. Attentive and Postscript are good products with stronger standalone SMS tooling; they make sense when SMS is run by a separate team with its own budget. We wrote a longer comparison; the short answer is that the tool matters less than the sending discipline.

How often should an ecommerce brand text customers?

Two to four campaign sends a month for most brands, plus the flows. More than that and opt-outs climb faster than revenue. The right number is the one where revenue per send holds while the list keeps growing. We watch both every week.

Is SMS marketing legal in the US?

Yes, with written consent, clear opt-out, identified sender and quiet hours. The rules are strict and the penalties are per message. We set up consent capture and sending so you are covered, and we will not send to a list that was not collected properly.

How fast does SMS revenue show up?

Flows produce revenue within days of going live because they run on customer behavior. Campaign revenue shows by the first send. The real measure is 90 days: revenue per subscriber and opt-out rate together.

Do you also run our email?

Yes, and that is the point. See the Klaviyo email marketing page.
